One of the most prestigious Spanish daily newspapers, El Mundo, has recently published its ranking of Spain’s best five master programmes per area of studies. This ranking is based on a thorough analysis of more than 1000 questionnaires and the opinion of more than 500 teaching and research staff members. A total of 250 Masters and MBAs were chosen following different criteria elements like programme of studies, human resources, teaching curriculum, or achievements.

To our great pleasure, in the area of Tourism two member institutions of the UNWTO Education and Science Council have been warrant of the first two positions.

The first and second prize winners respectively are the Master en Planificación y Dirección del Turismo of the Universitat de les Illes Balears, and the Master en Dirección de Empresas y Organizaciones Turísticas of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.

This recognition enforces once again the idea that the UNWTO Education and Science Council brings together some of the most prestigious universities in tourism worldwide.
